Two groups of evil wizards struggle for power here, the Faithmarked and the Blackfire Battlemages. The Tomb of Horrors, Part 1

Previously, in Days of High Adventure…
Acererak the Devourer has returned to life somehow, and has constructed two arcane engines, in the Feywild and Shadowfell, to drain those realms of their essence to further a mysterious plot to channel planar energy for his personal use
The party seeks a means to find the location of Skull Island, the location of the Tomb of Horrors, Acererak the Devourer’s original tomb, where he is worshipped as a god.
Lost and found travelled to the Temple of the Four Winds, worldly realm of the four Free Gods, seeking the help of Corellon, the God of Magic. After passing a test of magic skill and meeting Corellon’s keeper, the faun archangel Malbior, they used a magic globe and spyglass to contact an aspect of Corellon and petition him for assistance.
Corellon grants the party the use of an enchanted hourglass to find Skull Island. It does indeed take them directly to Skull Island – to Acererak’s tomb itself!

Thrown to the Four Winds

Previously, in Days of High Adventure…
Lost and Found are the heroes of Diyun, conquerors of the mysterious lord Kagamungo, allies of its new ruler Tisha, and have stolen a Map they believe will lead them to Skull Island, the site of The Devourer’s original Tomb.
The map itself is unreadable without opening the Book of Vile Darkness, a volume said to corrupt any who touch it, written in part by The Devourer himself.
Tempted by the power of the Book, hounded by agents of Lolth and the Iron Circle who wish to possess it, and still searching for a way to Skull Island, Lost and Found will seek the Temple of the Four Winds, dedicated to the four “Free Gods”, hoping to gain the impossible – an audience with a God.

Lost and Found has traded in their old ship, the Sure Strike, for a captured Iron Circle Caravel, Glory of Chaos. Captain Roche Teezle and Puddleby stay on with the party.
The party is now in posession of the Book of Vile Darkness, said to be Acererak’s personal journal of his studies when he walked the mortal plane. Any who open the book are bound to it and its corrupting magic.
The book is desired by every evil creature and faction, and the party will have no rest while it is in their possession. They need someone to willingly read it using the Book of VIle Darkness.
But first, the map.

Lost and Found have come to the city of Diyun, the Hanging City, a city blockaded by the Iron Circle pirate band, seeking information about the legend of Skull City, and passage from the shores of Nerath.
Kagamungo, Diyun’s mysterious ruler, has offered to give the party a map, showing the location of Skull Island, in exchange for bringing him the Book of Vile Darkness, a cursed volume bound in human flesh.
Tisha, an extravagant Tiefling merchant, and owner of the Royal Treasure Casino, also wishes to posess the artifact, believing that she can overthrow Kagamungo.
Lost and Found hires a blockade runner ship, the Sure Strike, and takes on its captain and first mate Roche Teezle and Puddleby, for passage.
In the Green Stone City, the heroes meet Mullangora, a filth hag, who shows them the way to the undercity, past sunken streets to the lair of the Chaos Dragon Nilor Bolias.
Rejecting Nilor Bolias’ demands to bring him the book, the party destroys him and makes their own way to the Dark Pantheon, a chapel where the most evil of Gods are worshipped.
There, Willaver swears an oath to Asmodeus, the Lord of the Nine Hells. With this oath, the party recovers the Book of Vile Darkness, only to discover they have awoken an Earth Titan, ancient guardian of the Green Stone City!

Lost and Found have purchased tickets for passage to the top level of the famous Hanging City, to seek out rumors and find a ship.
In a city where everything is a wager, and nothing is true, Enri and Willaver will need new allies.
